Princess Kate Middleton has shared a rare glimpse into her family life as she continues her battle with cancer.
On Monday 9 September, the Princess of Wales announced new images on video in which her husband appears, Prince Williamand their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte y Prince Louis.
“The last nine months have been incredibly difficult for us as a family,” Kate, 42, said in a video statement while referencing her battle with cancer. “Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and uncharted path.”
While Kate described her health journey as “complex, scary and unpredictable” for her family, she confirmed that her chemotherapy treatments have concluded.
“Despite everything that has happened before, I am entering this new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation for life,” she said. “William and I are so grateful for the support we have received and have drawn so much strength from all those who are helping us at this time. The kindness, empathy and compassion from everyone has been truly heartwarming.”
As Kate gave her update, royal fans were treated to rare footage of Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6, playing in the park with their mom and dad.

The family of five can be seen in the pictures playing cards and enjoying a picnic as the sun shone. Kate and William, 42, were also pictured hugging each other and sharing a laugh as they lay on a blanket.
“To all those who continue their own journey with cancer: I am still with you, side by side, hand in hand,” she said. “Out of darkness, light can emerge, so let that light shine brightly.”

Kate underwent abdominal surgery in January and confirmed nearly two months later that she had been diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer.
She has since limited her royal duties as she focuses on recovering privately.
“Having William by my side is a great source of comfort and reassurance, as is the love, support and kindness shown by so many of you. It means a great deal to both of us,” she said in March. “We hope you understand that as a family, we now need some time, space and privacy while I complete my treatment. My work has always brought me a deep sense of joy, and I look forward to returning when I can. But for now, I must focus on making a full recovery.”
