Princess Kate, who announced at the end of March that she was undergoing preventive chemotherapy for cancer, indicated that she had completed this treatment in a message published on social networks.

In a statement released on Monday, September 9, Princess Kate announced that she had completed her chemotherapy treatment. She had announced at the end of March that she was undergoing preventive chemotherapy against cancer.

Nine “extremely hard” months

“I can’t tell you what a relief it is to finally have completed my chemotherapy treatment,” the Princess of Wales said in the message, recalling an “extremely tough” nine months for her and her family. “My road to recovery and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes,” she wrote.

The message is accompanied by a video in which she appears surrounded by her husband and their three children, George, Charlotte and Louis, walking and playing in nature. This video, in which the princess is dressed in a light dress, her hair in the wind, was filmed in August in Norfolk, in the east of England, where the family spent part of their holidays.

“Looking forward to getting back to work”

“I am, however, looking forward to returning to work and undertaking public activities in the coming months when I am able to.” Kate, adored by the British and who appeared almost every day in the press, suddenly disappeared from the media landscape after Christmas 2023. She had been hospitalized in January. All sorts of rumors had then appeared on social networks. And at the end of March, she had announced herself, in a video that had moved, that she had cancer, without specifying the nature of it. A further blow for the royal family, since King Charles III had also announced shortly before that he had cancer.
