Kate Bush responds as Stranger Things returns song to Top 10 for first time in years

Kate Bush has spoken out after one of her hits was used in the new series of stranger things.

“Running Up That Hill (A Deal with God)” is truly iconic and one of the most beloved anthems of the past 40 years. But the 1985 track was recently given a new lease of life when it appeared in an episode of the hit sci-fi horror.

As a result, it returned to the UK Top 40 for the first time in years, currently sitting at No. 8 by streams and downloads.

And if that weren’t enough, at the time of writing (June 5) it sits at No. 1 on Spotify’s UK Top 50 and No. 4 on the streaming site’s Global Top Songs charts.
