Kate Bush jumped sharply into the Top 2000. The number Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God) it ranks 53rd on this year’s music chart. This is 523 positions more than last year, NPO Radio 2 reports on Wednesday.
The newfound popularity of the 1985 song is due to the Netflix series Stranger things. The song can be heard in some episodes of the fourth season of that series. The video for the song now has more than 100 million views on YouTube.
Bush broke several UK records with the song. Therefore, the song reached number one in the UK chart almost 37 years after its release. The 64-year-old singer is also the oldest female artist with a No. 1 hit.
NPO Radio 2 will announce the full Top 2000 on Thursday between 12.00 and 14.00. The radio station previously revealed the top ten songs on the all-time list. Queen lead the list for the 19th time with the song Bohemian Rhapsody. Then Danny Vera followed with the song Roller coaster and the eagles with California hotels.
