Stefanos Kasselakis’ five-day tour of Crete ended in Sitia.
“The soul of this island is indeed deeply democratic, it is our Levantogena Crete. I am so proud that I was able to spend five days in all the counties. It has to be the biggest bet for the decentralization of our country, here. Everything can be done” said the president of SYRIZA and added:
“Neglected by the government on many issues. The projects here must be completed, including the entire distance by road to Sitia, a railway should also be built and the mountains of Crete should not be sold off to two families for wind turbines, without the consent and participation of local communities in the production of green energy.”
“I have no doubt that at the end of the day Crete will speak loudly and say SYRIZA for the progressive democratic overthrow” he said closing his statements.
Earlier, the president of SYRIZA visited the hospital in the area: “A hospital struggling to provide basic services obviously demonstrates the New Republic’s appreciation for human life” he said among other things.
