Kassel Marketing trains tour guides
Kassel Exciting art and culture tours, culinary tours or tours through the UNESCO World Heritage Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe: year after year, thousands of visitors use Kassel Marketing’s tours to get to know the documenta city. In order to further expand this popular tourist offer, Kassel Marketing is offering anyone interested training to become a certified tour guide next year.
“In order to be able to carry out more tours in the future, we would like to strengthen our team of qualified tour guides next year,” explains Yvonne Becker from Kassel Marketing. “We welcome everyone who would like to introduce groups and individual guests to our beautiful and diverse city – whether from Kassel, from Kassel or from Kassel!”
And who is the training suitable for? “We are looking for people who enjoy sharing their knowledge with others and are interested in Kassel’s diverse history,” says Yvonne Becker. “What shouldn’t be missed, of course, is the joy of dealing with people of different ages.”
Kassel ambassadors with certificate
Anyone who has completed the training will not only be able to start their first themed tours next year, but will also be able to look forward to an attractive additional qualification. The training goal is to obtain official certification as a tour guide in accordance with the guidelines of the Federal Association for Tour Guides in Germany. After successful theoretical and practical exams, the graduates are also commissioned by Kassel Marketing GmbH as freelance tour guides.
The training lasts around two months and includes 120 teaching units in theory and practice. The kick-off will take place from the 5th to the 9th. A compact week will take place in February 2024, in which prospective tour guides will be taught the basics of their work. The training is carried out by Kassel Marketing in collaboration with SprachKultur Kassel.
