Jānis said in the program that they and my husband were in a taxi with filled-in certificates, which allow them to be out of the house after eight in the evening, and the taxi driver asked if they were from the same household: “Of course I said we are. “No, it’s my husband. The taxi driver said he would have to explain it to the police themselves.” The attitude of the taxi driver was both so saddened that they even hoped that the taxi would be stopped by the police to prove that the men had the right to be together. “It’s a pity it didn’t stop,” says John.

At the beginning of the summer, multi-artist Kaspars Blūms-Blūmanis married his beloved man, fitness trainer Jānis Miņins.
