Bengaluru: Karnataka cricketer K. Hoysala (34) died of a heart attack during the Aegis South Zone cricket tournament. The tragic incident took place on Thursday at the RSI grounds in Bengaluru. After winning the match against Tamil Nadu, Hoysala, who came to celebrate the victory with his teammates, felt chest pain and later collapsed on the ground.

The teammates and the medical team gave first aid but the actor did not regain consciousness. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but his life could not be saved. Hoysala has represented the Under-25 division in the Karnataka team. He has also played in the Karnataka Premier League.
Hoysala also performed well in the match against Tamil Nadu. Batting first, Karnataka scored 13 runs and then took the wicket of Tamil Nadu’s opener P. Parveen Kumar. Karnataka won by one run in a thrilling match. Chasing a target of 173 runs, Tamil Nadu’s innings ended on 171.
