After the death of a boy late on Saturday afternoon, the investigations of the Wrzburg police force advanced in close coordination with the public prosecutor’s office. Accordingly, the evidence of a tragic accident is growing.
At the request of the public prosecutor’s office in Wrzburg, the judge-ordered autopsy of the nine-year-old took place on Tuesday. As a result, it was found that there was no evidence of outside or violence by third parties and that the child died from suffocation.
The investigations of the Kripo Wrzburg into the exact processes are still ongoing in close coordination with the Wrzburg public prosecutor’s office.

The nine-year-old and several other children between the ages of 7 and 9 had played on Saturday afternoon on the grounds of the elementary school in Heldstrasse. Meanwhile, the nine-year-old sustained life-threatening injuries at around 4.15 p.m. After initial treatment by an emergency doctor, the boy was taken to a hospital, where he died that evening.
How it came to the incident is not yet clear. . “A lot of witnesses still have to be interviewed, including children,” said the spokesman. In order to clarify the exact course of events and the background to this, the Wrzburg criminal police began their investigations on Saturday afternoon. Emergency chaplains called in by the police took care of those affected.
