Last week, Mohoric’s Bahrain-Victorious team found themselves briefly in the eye of the storm after a police raid on the team hotel in Pau. So far, not much news has come out about that investigation.
In response to the hectic week, Mohoric made the well-known victory gesture. He put his finger to his mouth as he crossed the finish line in Libourne. A gesture that he should be careful with, according to Karl Vannieuwkerke.
“Mohoric made the well-known victory gesture and he better be careful with that,” says Vannieuwkerke. “We saw Lance Armstrong do it once.”
“I understand that there are frustrations after he had to hand over his mobile phone, but it is always careful with such actions. Mohoric has ridden a fantastic Tour, but he is better not to do this.”
