A new video has been made for the creative tandem of composer Kārlis Lāčs and singer Aija Vītoliņa – for the song “What Strange Movements”. The clip was made as a continuation of the story about Kārlis Lācis and Aija Vītoliņš, which had already started in the winter: from the cold and snowy winter, both artists got into a scorching summer, full of lilac scent.
Although the video for the song “What Strange Movements” was filmed in summer conditions, Kārlis and Aija’s funny costumes do not show that at all. “It turned out that the first single” Full stick of dark red cherries “from the new album” Bear. Aija. The video for “Fashion” was filmed in the fall, the second for the song “Mary Stewart’s Waltz and Juliet’s Song” in the winter, and then we quickly realized that a four-season cycle was beginning to take shape, and the next video should be filmed in the summer. I think that the story will not end with this and we will continue it when the missing season of the cycle – spring, begins, ”thinks Kārlis Lācis.
The song “What Strange Movements” is one of my favorite things that Lācis wrote for me. When I sing it, I would always tell this story for the first time to myself and the listeners. Through the beautiful melody and the magical words of Imants Ziedonis, during this song everyone can come to what he is, the person with those strange eyes like a forest of willows, ”says Aija Vītoliņa. The author of the music video is Elīna Veigule-Bernāne, but the cameraman is Kārlis’ son Francis Gustavs Lācis.
