After « In America : A Lexicon of Fashion » (2021) and “In America: An Anthology of Fashion” (2022), the theme of New York’s most prestigious charity gala, the MET Gala (or MET Ball) this year focuses on a man, or rather a legend: Karl Lagerfeld. With “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty”, the famous American institution pays tribute to the man who died four years ago, at the age of 85. This event marks the opening of the annual exhibition of the Costume Institute, a wing of the Metropolitan Museum of Art dedicated to fashion, which will bring together more than 150 creations and other designs by the great German couturier and stylist.

A true literary success, the science fiction trilogy “Silo” has just been adapted into a series by Apple TV +. Disappeared thirty-two years ago, Serge Gainsbourg remains an iconic figure of French song. From January 25 to May 8, the public information library of the Center Pompidou celebrates the lyricist and singer with the exhibition “Serge Gainsbourg, the exact word”.

For the first time, manuscripts from his house on rue de Verneuil in Paris (which will become a museum in the fall) are on display, as well as numerous works from his library. By plunging into the literary landscape of Gainsbourg, the exhibition also takes us to meet Gainsbarre, the artist’s media double. Combined with unreleased films by Yves Lefebvre, all these documents shed light on the writing process of the artist.
