Karl-Heinz Ruban (* June 6, 1952 in Füssen) is a former German ice hockey player who played for EV Füssen, Augsburger EV and Berliner SC in the Bundesliga, among others. The defender won the German championship once with Füssen.
Karl-Heinz Ruban began his career at EV Füssen, where he was used in the Bundesliga team from the 1972/73 season. He won the 1973 German championship with the team. Two years later he moved to EC Deilinghofen in the 2nd Bundesliga. For the 1976/77 season he joined Augsburger EV (AEV), with whom the defender was initially relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga and then promoted back to the top German league a year later. After a year at Berliner SC, he returned to his hometown club for another Bundesliga season. In the 1980/81 season he moved again to AEV, who were now playing in the Oberliga, and with whom he achieved promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga before ending his career in 1981.
From 1983 he was part of the coaching team of the youth department at EV Füssen. In the relegation round of the 1985/86 season he took over the men’s team and helped them to stay in the 2nd Bundesliga.
