Game between Knicks and Hornets, at the beginning of October in preseason. The kind of poster you don’t tend to remember beyond next November. And yet, between the first appearance on the courts of the five main new Knicks but also the French Tidjane Salaün, the rookie of the Hornets, who made a good impression (11 points, 3/4 from 3-points). A nice little evening despite the paltry stakes.
Of course, it was strange to see Karl-Anthony Towns in a jersey other than the Wolves. But, we have to get used to it. Like Russell Westbrook, with the Nuggets on Friday, KAT’s winning first shot turned into a nice bomb from the parking lot. Just to show he’s not here to laugh. Next to it? Jalen Brunson, Mikal Bridges, Josh Hart and OG Anunoby. Top five that we are eagerly waiting for this season, as it is planned for big basketball events at the beginning of June.

Against this fearsome squad, LaMelo Ball will lead the Hornets. He too, it’s good to see him playing again. The game? It is preseason, the intensity is very light and Tom Thibodeau rotates his soldiers quickly to avoid the risk of any problems.

On the Hornets side, apart from a few banderillas signed especially Miles Bridges and Taj Gibson, we mostly remember this change requested by Charles Lee with 3:46 left in the first quarter: Tidjane Salaün a ‘ come in.

The main players from both sides return to the field, for a game with a very close score. At half time, we are almost sorry, for our happiness, that we only saw Tidjane Salaün for 7 minutes. As for Pacôme Dadiet, a French rookie of the Knicks who was selected 25th in the 2024 Draft, no halftime appearance. Hopefully that will change later.
We will have to wait halfway through the third season to see Tidjane return to the floor, along with Moussa Diabaté, a Frenchman drafted by the Clippers in the 43rd place in the 2022 Draft A beautiful French accent on Charlotte’s side, we will be risk (very) click this often season at Frelons games. Moussa Diabaté offers himself a little shot under the circle after a nice screen for Vasilije Micic, everyone is having fun and getting their bearings. Of course, Tidjane had also worked his body defensively, especially with Precious Achiuwa. Goal accomplished for Charles Lee who saw his new players put to the NBA rhythm test. Tidjane Salaün finished with 11 points, 1 rebound, 4/7 shooting including 3/4 3 points. Test passed with flying colors, looking forward to see more!
