Laurent, former candidate for season 14 of L’amour est dans le pré, had in fact appeared in Karine Le Marchand’s new show broadcast on November 27.

Karine Le Marchand, very invested in the condition of French farmers, made her return to M6 at the end of November with this poignant documentary. She invited Laurent, whom she met on the set of L’amour est dans le pré, to speak about her daily life. The breeder then spoke about major financial problems which impacted his physical and mental state. “I’m getting to the point where I weigh 49 kilos. I’ve gone to mope several times in a wood, crying, screaming to vent, but all alone,” he explained, before admitting, distraught, ” I went through suicidal tendencies, putting myself on the end of a rope or with a gun… I’m thinking of ending my life for good.”
Since then, the farmer has received a huge wave of support. A touching outpouring of solidarity and generosity that Karine Le Marchand wanted to highlight on her social networks.

On Instagram, this Wednesday, December 13, she posted a video with a man named Denis Boyer, a “super painter” who offers to donate recovered and unused materials, enough to “make a house of 80, 90 square meters”. The host then addresses her “Lolo” in the video. “You know that your story has left no one indifferent (…) and in the south we have heart”, before letting Denis present the material that he wishes to offer to Laurent. “It’s so nice. And rather than throwing away, we recycle and help those who need it,” said Karine Le Marchand. Below this video, the latter says more about this flow of kindness.
“Since my call, I have received dozens of concrete proposals to help Laurent raise his head. In one week, we have collected so many messages and requests! I do not want to give him money, but to finance developments and take concrete actions to get your business out of its difficulties, in a long-term and sustainable way,” she said. Then, the M6 host reassured her community by giving news of Laurent: “Thanks to you, in a few days he sees hope reborn, and is even very upset by everything that is happening around him. Thank you for this love and this solidarity. Every time I call a company to help, I am told ‘yes’ and it is very disturbing. Through Laurent, I deeply believe that it is the love that you testify. Thank you very much.”
