Karine Dorange presents her candidacy in the constituency of Chartres

The chosen one launches into battle. Karine Dorange (LR) officially announced, this Wednesday, February 23, 2022 in Maintenon, her candidacy for the legislative elections in the first constituency of Eure-et-Loir (Chartres). Thomas Laforge (LR), mayor of Maintenon, will be his deputy.

Karine Dorange is now deputy mayor of Chartres in charge of town planning, vice-president of Chartres Métropole in charge of major facilities and departmental councilor of the Chartres 1 canton.

“Territorial legitimacy”

Her various local mandates represent a driving force, according to her: “The legislator plays a key role at the national level, but also on the ground. With the law on the non-accumulation of mandates, we now have parliamentarians disconnected from the field. We defend our candidacy on territorial legitimacy. I have been elected here for twenty years. It is essential to be familiar with local issues in order to pass coherent laws. »

Eure-et-Loir: discover the first three LR candidates in the 2022 legislative elections

The elected official indicates that she thought carefully before starting: “Franck Masselus was our LR candidate in the constituency five years ago. First he had to position himself. As he did not wish to leave, after discussions with my colleagues, I made the choice to introduce myself. »

Karine Dorange and Thomas Laforge recall their support for candidate Valérie Pécresse (LR), for the presidential election, “the best to lead the country”.

For these legislative elections, the duo is seeking the nomination of the Republicans. An investiture already granted to Ladislas Vergne. Karine Dorange emphasizes:

“We will go all the way. We will be a candidate hoping to have the LR nomination. We will wait for the national commission of investiture to decide. We also defend our candidacy with the Republicans on territorial legitimacy. »

Priorities

Simplification. Karine Dorange denounces the complexity “of administrative strata, numerous standards and regulatory constraints. It is difficult to manage, for companies and communities alike”.
Health. Access to care is a key issue according to the candidate, “whether to find a specialist, or even simply a general practitioner. We have to respond to this situation”.
