Karina Tatarinova: My Journey to Quitting Smoking and Improving my Well-being

“I smoked since I was 16 years old, it was a part of creative bohemia,” recalls Karina Tatarinova. Two years ago, she made a decision to give up the harmful vice and start a healthier life. However, she did not expect that this decision would force her to give up several more things.

“I know that if I decide to quit smoking, that’s what I’ll want the most. Then I thought I’d quit everything – sweets, flour, milk, salt, alcohol and cigarettes. And you know what I wanted the most? Salt!” laughs Tatarinova.

At first, she followed such a “detox” for 21 days, and until today she has not started smoking again. Although it has been said a lot that after giving up the harmful habit, you could feel some changes in your well-being, the actress openly admits that the only thing that has improved is the skin of her face.
