When the “Eurovision Song Contest” was organized in Sweden for the first time, in 1975, it was the presenter Karin Falck92, who was given the honor of leading it all.
She worked as a producer at SVT then, but had also led youth programs such as “Lördagsträffen”, “Källarklubben” and “Vi unga”.
But also the “Melodifestivalen” in 1974, when Abba won with “Waterloo”.
In connection with this, that it was almost 50 years since she paved the way for all Swedes in “Eurovision”, she was celebrated live.
– She had a tough week. The production’s sole focus was on the performers, technology and safety. Karin didn’t have any time to practice, had to choose her own dress and had to write her own script, she says Malin Åkerman in the program.

Then Karin Falck appeared on a screen at the front of the stage. Petra then asked if Karin could hear her on the link.
– I hear you. I’m 92. I’m not deaf, she answers a little cockily.
– Seeing these pictures from almost 50 years ago makes me a little nostalgic, but also stressed. But I loved every second of it. Now times have changed – now Eurovision is bigger and more colorful than ever. I am proud to have been a small part of it. Now I’m rooting for you Petra and Malin. Have a wonderful evening!
