The declared candidate of the Senegalese Democratic Party (PDS) presented his condolences to the Senegalese people following the deaths of four soldiers following an anti-tank mine explosion on their vehicle on Friday.
“It is with deep sadness that I learned that four of our valiant Diambars fell in combat in Casamance during the explosion of an anti-tank mine. To the entire Nation and to the families of our soldiers, I offer my most sincere condolences. This tragedy should remind us how much minefields threaten the lives of our compatriots in Casamance on a daily basis and how this crisis jeopardizes the development of the formidable economic potential of our dear and beautiful Casamance,” wrote Karim Wade on his social networks.
Wade-son didn’t stop there. He took the opportunity to make electoral promises on the issue of mine clearance in Casamance.
“Modern and efficient anti-mine equipment for our soldiers, the acceleration of minefield mapping and the strengthening of mine clearance operations, definitive peace in Casamance, these must be priority projects on the evening of February 25, 2024! “, he said.
