Mystery surrounds the position of Frenchman Karim Benzema, a player for Al-Ittihad Jeddah, before Al-Ameed faces his counterpart Al-Hilal next Tuesday, in the first leg of the AFC Champions League quarter-finals.
Karim Benzema missed training on Saturday due to suffering from leg pain.
According to the Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadiah, ambiguity surrounds Benzema’s position on El Clásico before the technical director receives the medical report tomorrow, Sunday.
Benzema did not participate in the last match against Al-Hilal, which Al-Ameed lost by three goals to one, in the 22nd round of the Roshen Saudi Professional League.
The return match between Al-Ittihad and Al-Hilal will be held at the Radiant Jewel Stadium on Tuesday, March 12th.
