Saudi club announces signing of Benzema

French striker Karim Benzema has signed a contract with the Saudi club Al-Ittihad. This was reported on the team’s Twitter.
The agreement with the 35-year-old football player is calculated until 2026.
ESPN previously reported that Benzema would earn €400 million from Al Ittihad in two years.

Benzema previously played at Real Madrid, which he left at the end of the season. The parties did not renew the expiring contract of the striker, who has played for Real Madrid since 2009 and won 25 trophies with the team.
Al-Ittihad won the Saudi Arabian championship last season. The team scored 72 points after 30 rounds and was five points ahead of Al-Nasr, which is played by the Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo.
