Karim Benzema back to show off together Al Ittihad. He scored a goal to lead his club to a 2-1 win against Al Shorta.
Al Shorta vs Al Ittihad was presented on the third matchday of Group A Arab Champions Cup 2023. The duel took place at King Fahd Stadium, Wednesday (2/8/2023) evening WIB.
Ahmed Bamsaud led Al Ittihad 1-0 in the first half through a goal in the 36th minute. Al Shorta then equalized the score at 1-1 through Abdoul Madjid Moumouni in the 80th minute.
Al Ittihad was awarded a penalty in the 84th minute. Karim Benzema stepped up as executor and successfully brought his team to a 2-1 win.
It was Benzema’s third goal in three matches that had been passed. The French striker is still proving himself to be a scourge in the opponent’s goal.
Al Iittihad currently sits at the top of the standings with nine points from three matches. Al Shorta are second with four points, ES Tunis in third with two and Sfaxien are bottom of the standings having picked up just one point.
