Last Wednesday at the Léo-Lagrange stadium, under a beautiful autumn sun, there was little respite for the synthetic ground adjacent to the tennis courts of the SC Bron-Terraillon-Perle. Most of the club’s 450 members follow each other there from early afternoon until evening.
An ordinary Wednesday for club educators who are responsible for conducting the sessions. On the pitch, some white Real Madrid jerseys, Benzema 9 flocked, can be sensed under the bibs, but others also wear those of OM, Barca, OL or Juve.
It is here, a stone’s throw from the old family home, that KB9 took his first steps as a footballer at the age of 9. What everyone here knows, of course. Although the only visible star is Maradona, represented on a small fresco.
