Screenwriter Mohamed Salah Al-Azab, author of the Giza Butcher series, revealed that the artist Karim Abdel Aziz was the first candidate to star in the work and embody the role of the serial killer, before the artist Ahmed Fahmy was presented for the role.
Mohamed Salah Al-Azab said during statements to Cairo 24, that while he was watching and following the story of the Giza Butcher at the time of his arrest, he had the idea of working on the case and turning it into a dramatic work, and given the difficulty and complexity of the character and his impersonation of more than one character, the series required that a strong actor star in it. .
Al-Azab added that the first nomination that came to his mind was the artist Karim Abdel Aziz, especially after many of his difficult and complex roles that he executed with great perfection in the films The Blue Elephant and Kira Wal Jin, and his ability to embody more than one character at the same time.
Al-Azab added that Karim Abdel Aziz was not contacted by the production side or on his part personally, because the subject of the work had not yet been agreed upon, and the matter remained a personal nomination for the dramatic character.
