The Court of Appeals of Arizona rejected the challenge filed by Kari Lake about the result of the 2022 Arizona gubernatorial electionafter the former Republican candidate for governor of that state appealed an earlier ruling by the high court, according to CNN.

Lake had requested a declaration from the court that she, and not her opponent, Democratic Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs, who won the election by around 17,000 votes, was the actual winner of the election.

“Your amparo petition fails because the evidence presented to the high court ultimately supports the court’s conclusion that the voters were able to cast their ballots, that the votes were counted correctly, and that no other basis justifies setting aside the results of the elections,” the Court of Appeals said in its decision.

The rejection of the appeal marks the last loss for Lake, who has continuously expressed his support for former President Donald Trump and claims falsely that the 2020 election was stolena central call in her 2022 gubernatorial candidacy.

Maricopa County Board of Supervisors Chairman Clint Hickman, a Republican, praised the Arizona Court of Appeals’ rejection of Lake’s claims.

“As we have said, all valid votes were counted in a midterm election that had near-record turnout,” Hickman said in a statement on Thursday, adding: “It’s about time to move on.”

Lake’s legal team widely criticized Maricopa County’s management of the elections during the superior court trial.

With the appeal, Lake sought to reverse Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Peter Thompson’s finding that his team failed to prove that someone intentionally caused the ticket printers to malfunction at Maricopa County’s request, thereby which Lake falsely claimed was part of a deliberate effort to rig the system. vote against it.

In a tweet Thursday night, Lake said, “We are NOT done,” adding that he planned to take the case to the Arizona Supreme Court. “Buckle up, America.”
