Jakarta –
Karen’s Diner is known to have waitresses who are mean and often angry with customers. However, they turned friendly towards Eid. What is it?
Karen’s Diner is always in the spotlight because it carries the concept of a restaurant with unfriendly service. The waiters are often rude to customers.
The rude behavior of the Karen’s Diner waiters made a number of customers unable to contain their emotions. An example of their unfriendly service is throwing food, tissue, and cutlery.
When visiting Bengkel Burger x Karen’s Diner, yesterday (15/4/2023), the detikFood team was a bit surprised to see the waiters being friendly to customers. Apparently, Karen’s Diner is carrying on the concept of ‘Kareem’s Diner’.
The friendly concept of Karen’s Diner is the result of collaboration with GrabFood. Titled ‘Kareem’s Diner’, the servers dress modestly and are friendly, funny and smiling. This concept is suitable to be presented during the month of Ramadan.
Vivian as a representative for Karen’s Diner waitress shared her experience when changing the concept to a friendly waitress. “It’s easier for me to adjust. Because from me at Karen’s Diner myself, I’m not always the one who has to be angry like other people,” said Vivian to detikFood (14/4).
“Because I’m usually meant to be like a child. That’s why I’m at Karen’s Diner as Cute Karen’s,” he continued.
Apart from carrying a new concept, Karen’s Diner is also used as GrabFood as a restaurant that can use the GrabFood Dine-in feature. Hadi Koe as Head of Marketing GrabFood Grab Indonesia explained about this new feature.
“Usually my friends know the GrabFood application for ordering food. This is a specific feature for eating on the spot, all ordering processes are done using the Grab application,” explained Hadi Koe when detikFood met at Bengkel Burger x Karen’s Diner.
The GrabFood Dine-in feature also offers meal vouchers that can be purchased directly through the application. These food vouchers are offered at lower prices, so customers can feel the benefits when ordering food.
