TV Nova has revealed the actor who will portray Bartošová’s son Artur Štaidl in the last episode of the Iveta series. His representative, Karel Šimek, looks a lot like Arturo’s younger self. The round face, blond hair and his expression are very reminiscent of Štaidl. The young actor told how the casting and shooting took place.
Thirteen-year-old Karel Šimek does not yet have much experience with filmmaking. “This is my first film experience,” said Šimek, who will portray Iveta Bartošová’s son Artur Štaidl at the end of the Iveta miniseries. Šimek expects experiences, experiences and also some new life goals from filming.
“We found an advertisement for the role of Artur on Facebook. After the first round and camera tests, no one answered for a long time, so I thought they had chosen someone else. Then they called us saying that I was moving on. I was very nervous, but then I he found out that the filming probably won’t be so bad and Mike Samir is very nice. I think they chose me because Artur and I are very similar. And according to the people around the filming, I can also act,” believes the young artist.
Šimek was born in 2010 in Krč, Prague. According to his parents, from an early age he was incredibly inquisitive, friendly, and because he also has an older brother, whom he constantly tried to catch up with, also very studious. He practiced taekwondo for a long time, and subsequently took a liking to krav maga, which he still practices today. As a child, he wanted to be an actor, and in recent years he has also been eyeing veterinary medicine. According to his parents, he loves animals and one day he would like to take care of all those who are homeless.
Šimek entered the filming of the final series of the Iveta series with scenes with his serial mother Anna Fialová and David Prachar playing Josef Rychtář. It was filmed in Prague’s Uhrínevsi. “My first day was great. I had terrible stage fright at the beginning, but then it was very good, because the people on the set are incredibly friendly,” added Šimek.
Filming of the biographical Voyo Original Ivet began in August under the direction of director and screenwriter Michal Samir. This time, the creators focused on the legal dispute between Ladislav Štaidl and Iveta Bartošová over the custody of their son Artur. The story takes you to the period when, thirteen years after leaving Ladislav, Iveta’s life and career changed beyond recognition.
