In August 1995, two friends, Michal Thomas and Petr Fořt, thought that they could have such a bigger party for their acquaintances at the athletic stadium in Český Brod, where a few bands would play, drink a lot of beer and raise some money for the institute for children with mental disabilities in nearby Bylany.
–
And that also happened – 1,100 people bought tickets for a price between 75 and 90 crowns, seventy thousand were chosen.
–
And one of the largest Czech festivals, Rock for People, was born, which culminated this weekend at the airport in Hradec Králové, where he moved in 2007.
–
A lot of world stars played on it – for example Muse, Offspring, Faith No More, Amanda Palmer, Massive Attack or Lucie, and nine years ago Karel Gott himself.
