ABollywood star Kareena Kapoor recently became the National Ambassador of UNICEF India. Working with UNICEF India since 2014, Kareena is actively working in areas such as girl child education, gender equality, immunization and awareness about the importance of breastfeeding.

At an event in Delhi yesterday, Kareena spoke about instilling gender equality lessons in her boys. Kareena said that her husband and actor Saif Ali Khan always make sure that there are no bad words or actions in their behavior in front of their children.

‘Today is their holiday. He told me I wanted to be home too. I said I have work today. Then Taimur said this.. ‘Mom always goes to Dubai and Delhi for work. I want to be with my mother.’ I told him that work was important and that we would spend a lot of time together when we got back.’ Kareena says.

Kareena also talked about children who observe the behavior of their parents and behave in the same way. ‘How fathers and mothers talk to each other is important in shaping children’s character. Saif always says that we should talk to each other only with love. But only the children talk to each other with love. Be kind to others.’ Kareena added.
