Karawang Health Office Claims Air Quality Is Maintained, Residents Affected by ISPA due to Covid-19

WARTAKOTALIVE.COM, KARAWANG – The Karawang Health Office claims that residents are stricken with ARI (acute respiratory infection) due to: air pollution there isn’t any yet.

This was said by the Head of Disease Prevention and Control (P2P) at the Karawang District Health Office, Dr. Yayuk Sri Rahayu, Wednesday (6/7/2022).

Yayuk explained that a number of residents were infected with the ARI because they were exposed to the Covid-19 virus. That’s not all either.

Currently, the positive number of Covid-19 in Karawang is 14 people. Three are hospitalized and 11 are self-isolating.

“The case has not been seen for ISPA itself because of that (air pollution). So far it is still related to Covid,” he added.

However, Yayuk still appealed to the public to be aware of it.

By using a mask when outdoor activities.

This is to avoid breathing unhealthy air.

“So it doesn’t exist in the entire Karawang ISPA area because air pollution”He said.

“We urge residents to be vigilant about prevention by wearing masks during activities, and washing hands regularly after doing activities in public places,” he said.
