John Mikkelsen Utsi prevailed with his claim before the Indre og Ostre Finnmark District Court, where the District Court ruled that the damage to his home was due to the thawing of the permafrost, quite contrary to what the state claimed at the Ministry of agriculture and food. Today he lives in what he himself calls an “unlivable” house.
