“My thoughts will never leave the 57 of our fellow human beings who lost their lives,” said the former Minister of Transport, Kostas Karamanlis, in a statement on the occasion of the completion of one year since the tragedy of Tempi.
As he notes, “my personal pain and the sense of political responsibility led me that day to immediate resignation.”
The entire statement of Kostas Karamanlis:
“One year later, the thought of all of us cannot leave the unspeakable tragedy in Tempe.
My personal pain and the sense of political responsibility led me that day to immediate resignation.
But my thoughts will never leave our 57 fellow human beings who lost their lives, the injured and the passengers who experienced the tragedy, and of course the relatives of the victims.
No one can feel the pain they are experiencing, they have and will always have our respect.
Political Office of Kostas Karamanlis
Member of Parliament of N. Serres”.
