Karaday raises the curtain on the MRF candidate, who will compete with Radev VIDEO

“The Bulgarian ethnic model of tolerance can serve as an example for the countries of the Western Balkans on their way to the EU.” This was stated by the MRF leader Mustafa Karadayi at the conference on the results of the EU-Western Balkans summit, organized by the MRF MEP Ilhan Kyuchyuk.

According to him, the native model can be a basis for overcoming differences and resolving smoldering ethnic conflicts and thus open the way for the EU. Karadayi also noted the role of the honorary leader of the MRF, Ahmed Dogan, in establishing this successful ethnic model for Bulgaria.

He emphasized that EU enlargement was a geostrategic investment for a strong and united Europe – of common values, democratic governance and the protection of citizens’ rights and freedoms.

In this regard, he reminded that this is the goal of the MRF – EU and NATO membership, and all countries to unite in an economic union, where difference is considered wealth. Thus, after efforts and reforms, our country joined NATO in 2004, and in the EU – in 2009, when the MRF was part of the country’s government.

According to him, the MRF has actively participated in building democracy in our country and protecting European values, which are also theirs. Karaday pointed out that there are still those affected by the repressive machine of the communist regime.

Thus, even when the MRF was established in the 1990s, the issue of respecting the rights and freedoms of citizens was raised, but then the MRF and Dogan decided – peaceful building of democracy and without revanchism. According to him, this is how a peaceful transition was built in Bulgaria, thanks to the unique ethnic model built thanks to Dogan. According to him, the active role of the MRF is indisputable.

Karaday explained that the 2018 summit in Sofia restarted the European perspective for the countries of the Western Balkans, and the Kovid crisis showed how strongly the EU stands behind its partners.

In this regard, he recalled the BGN 3.3 billion set aside for the pandemic for the countries of the Western Balkans. According to Karaday, this European solidarity is not a one-off act and set an example with a development plan that will mobilize more investment in the region, lead to more sustainable growth and jobs.

According to Karaday, however, this should go hand in hand with political reforms that meet the expectations of the young population. He expects sports issues between Bulgaria and Northern Macedonia to be resolved soon and Skopje’s EU talks to begin.

The MRF’s Central Operations Bureau is deciding which presidential candidate will run in the November 14th elections this Sunday. This was announced to journalists by the chairman of the Movement Mustafa Karadayi.

He participated in a conference on “Summit: EU-Western Balkans: Overview and Expectations”.

He reminded that the Central Council of the MRF has decided to nominate its own candidates and according to the decisions of the Central Council on Sunday the Central Election Commission and the Central Election Headquarters will make decisions on who will be the candidates.

Asked whether it was possible for the MRF candidate for president to be a professor of constitutional law, Prof. Georgi Bliznashki, MRF Chairman Mustafa Karaday commented: “It does not contradict the laws of physics.”
