An employee of the Kapuk Muara sub-district, North Jakarta, the perpetrator of making fake vaccine certificates through an application CareProtect.com initials HH (30), fired. Head of Muara Kapuk Headquarters Yason Simanjuntak conveyed HH’s dismissal following the development of the police case.
“Yes, he was dismissed because the case is criminal. We have terminated it as of September 2,” Yason said when contacted, Friday (3/9/2021).
Yason said HH is a non-PNS employee who has worked in the village for 4 years. He works in the administration department.
“He is a non-civil servant helping in the administration,” he said.
Yason said, in everyday life, HH is a smart and good employee. He admitted that he did not know that HH had actually committed a crime.
“He’s a good, smart person. I know he’s honest in our work. Including people who are smart at work. We just don’t know, right,” he added.
As is known, the two perpetrators of making fake vaccination certificates through the application CareProtect.com was arrested by officers. The two perpetrators were arrested for their roles as officers marketing and counterfeit vaccine certifiers.
Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Fadil Imran said the two perpetrators had the initials FH (23) and HH (30). The HH suspect is known to have played a role in making fake vaccination certificates. HH, who works as a sub-district officer, has data access.
“The perpetrator has access to population data. The perpetrator then cooperates with his partner to sell it to the public,” said Fadil at Polda Metro Jaya, Jakarta, Friday (3/9/2021).
Armed with this access, HH actors then use the opportunity to create a COVID-19 vaccination certificate creation service in the PeduliLindung application without going through the vaccination process.
“HH creates vaccine certificates on the BPJS T-Care system that is connected to the application CareProtect without going through the specified procedure,” said Fadil.
