The joint SAR team has arrived at the crash site of the helicopter carrying Jambi Police Chief Inspector General Rusdi Hartono and entourage. Even so, the victims could not be evacuated because of the fog in the Kerinci forest.
“Earlier I had a chance to communicate with the pilot of the Baharkam Police Corps, it was still foggy and visibility was not yet possible,” said Jambi Police Public Relations Head Kombes Mulia Prianto, as reported by Antara. detikSumatraMonday (20/2/2023).
“However, we are still looking for opportunities, as soon as they are bright they go straight in,” he added.
While the SAR members who got off the helicopter were checking the health of the Jambi Police Chief and his entourage. Until now, there are six helicopters parked in Merangin, Jambi, which is also the location crisis center combined search and rescue team.
“Currently the SAR team is providing assistance while waiting for the helicopter to enter,” he said.
