Kanye West’s New Album Trailer Sparks Controversy and Conspiracy Theories

The video has received many surprised reactions. Some users see it as art, while most find the images quite disturbing. “I was hoping you would use your influence to get people out of hell and not to lead them there,” someone writes, for example. “Kanye, what is it with all this occult symbolism and devilish rituals?” a second user responds. “It all has a bit of an evil atmosphere,” says another fan. “Please be the light of the world, Ye, we don’t need more darkness.”

However, what fans are still talking about under West’s post on Instagram: the use of artificial intelligence. They suspect that we are not hearing “the real Kanye” in the song, but that it is an AI clone. “Do people really believe this is Kanye? I have been listening to his music since the 90s. This is not his voice at all,” says one of them. But that theory also faces criticism. “To everyone who says this isn’t Kanye, you seem to forget how many times he’s reinvented himself.”

At the end of the trailer, the rapper announces that his new album will be released in three parts. He will send the first songs into the world on February 9. Then we have to wait until March 8 for the second part, and April 4 for the last.
