Prato, 30 July 2023 – Steak, vegetables, a reserved table inside the restaurant, out of sight. American rapper and entrepreneur Kanye West today was for lunch at the Dek Italian Bistrot in Piazza delle Carceri with some collaborators.
It seems that he was in the city to choose some fabrics for his new clothing collections, just as he was in Emilia a few days ago for the same reason. His visit, despite his intentions, however, ended up on social media thanks to the Facebook and Instagram page “èdiciottonoveannighestoaprade” which published a photo that portrays him outside the club in the middle of the day in black clothes, precisely in Piazza delle Carceri.
The time to dial the telephone number and the confirmation of the stop in Prato also comes from the owner of the restaurant, Francesco Cecci, contacted by our newspaper: «Yes, he came here with two other people, the restaurant had been recommended to him. It was the first time he came to us. We are used to customers like him, also having a club in Ibiza, but for Prato it was certainly something special, especially on a day when the city was practically deserted. Let’s say a ray of sunshine. We are happy and satisfied, of course». It’s not the first time Kanye West has had contact with Prato. On the contrary. Already in 2016 the rapper had himself photographed at the Beste stand, at Premiere Vision, always looking for high quality fabrics for his collections.
