Kanye West Sued by Photographer for Assault and Negligence Over Phone Toss

A photographer has sued Ye for assault, assault and negligence over a row over a phone earlier this year. The woman says she was traumatized by the incident and demands compensation, the entertainment site reports TMZ.

In January, a video surfaced showing the photographer filming Ye from her car. The rapper then walked up to her and asked her to stop filming.

“You are a celebrity,” the woman motivated her choice to continue filming. “If I tell you to stop, then you should,” the rapper responded. Then he put his arm through the car window, took the phone and threw it on the street.

The woman claims that Ye gave her a “withering look”. She also says she was very shocked because she feared he had a weapon. She would no longer be able to do her job as a paparazzo and therefore she would miss out on income.

In addition to compensation, the woman also wants the rapper to be banned from “touching, annoying or threatening” photographers in general.
