American rapper and fashion designer Kanye West says on Instagram that he understands that people have been shocked by his recent flood of social media posts. In it, he shared screenshots of private messages from his wife, reality star Kim Kardashian, who has filed for divorce. He also pulled out all the stops against her new boyfriend, the comedian Pete Davidson.
“I know sharing screenshots was upsetting and it comes across as harassing Kim,” the 44-year-old artist wrote. “I take responsibility for it.” He also thanks everyone who has supported him.

Kardashian warned West that he is endangering her new boyfriend Davidson with his posts. “Someone will hurt Pete and it will be your fault,” read the screenshots West shared with his more than 13 million followers a few days ago.
The rapper then made an appeal not to use physical violence against Davidson. “I’ll handle the situation myself.”

The cause of the message storm was a video that his daughter North had put online. West said on Instagram that he does not want the 8-year-old girl to post. “This is my first divorce, I need to know what I can do about my daughter being on TikTok against my will,” the rapper wrote in caps on Instagram.
That resulted in a series of messages between the former couple, with Kardashian lashing out at West’s “constant attacks on me via interviews and social media”.
All posts have since been removed from Ye’s Instagram, except for his latest message, in which he says he wants to learn to communicate better. “I have learned that capslock when yelling happens to people,” West said in his statement.
