The Kansas City Chiefs are light favorites over the San Francisco 49ers at the start of the previous two weeks for Super Bowl LIV.
The line opened a couple in the bookmakers of the country. But the line has moved to Kansas City by 1.5 points until Sunday night at most casinos.
According to the betting line archive of ESPN Stats and Information, no Super Bowl has ever closed with an even dotted line. Four Super Bowls have had a line below 2 points. This year’s Super Bowl seems destined to be the fifth.
The Caesars Sportsbook opened with the Chiefs at 1.5 on Sunday night and took early bets for the 49ers.
“We had the Chiefs a little higher than the 49ers in our rankings,” said Alan Berg, in charge of determining odds for the Caesars Sportsbook, to ESPN This Sunday night. “You can defend any team and I expect a decent and balanced action from the public.”
William Hill reported taking an early bet of $ 33,000 for Kansas City with an even line. And, in the Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas, more than 70 percent of the first bets were with the Chiefs, which, for now, are favorites for the Super Bowl, just like at the beginning of the season.
