Reid was taken to the University of Kansas hospital after he suffered from dehydration after the 30-24 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday.
Chiefs spokesman Ted Crews said Reid is in great shape and plans to move to the training complex later in the day. In the meantime, the Chiefs watched videos from Sunday’s game and held their meetings with coordinators Steve Spagnuolo, Eric Bieniemy and Dave Toub.
Reid led the entire game, played in unusually hot weather for Kansas City at this time of year, with the mercury hitting 90 degrees Fahrenheit, or over 32 degrees Celsius. He also addressed the team in the locker room after the meeting before being examined by Chiefs’ medical staff, who decided to give him more tests and put him under observation.
The 63-year-old Reid is expected to be back in office on Sunday when the Chiefs visit the Eagles in Philadelphia.
The Chiefs did not provide further details on Reid’s discomfort.
