The 29-year-old striker admits that he wants to break Rooney’s record as soon as he is determined to score in the three games. However, Kane still tries not to get carried away by this personal ambition. He emphasized that the main goal of playing is for the team.

“But I’m someone who doesn’t let that affect me when I’m on the pitch, I have work to do, it’s not about the scoring record… it’s about the team getting the three points and winning the game.”
