West Jakarta Metro Police Chief Commissioner Ady Wibowo said that at least dozens of people were arrested during the raid.
“Securing 45 people with various evidence,” said Ady to reporters when confirmed, Saturday (8/5).
He explained that from the arrest, the police helped secure a number of evidence related to the alleged criminal act of narcotics, such as suction devices, crystal meth, marijuana, and others.
In addition, he said, the police also secured several sharp or homemade weapons. Then, he said, there were a number of other items such as drones to liquor.
“There are dozens of sajam (sharp weapons), a weighing device, two homemade guns with five live bullets, then three airsoft guns,” he added.
Ady explained that the arrests were carried out by a joint operation team from the West Jakarta Police and Polda Metro Jaya. At least, there are 555 joint personnel deployed.
In this case, the parties who were arrested were suspected of being related to criminal offenses related to narcotics cases.
It’s just that, he said, the police are still investigating the allegations of other possible criminal offenses.
“There are five locations that we combed which previously had been mapped,” he said.
