The well-known musical singer Kamila Nývltová has a beautiful relationship with her mother, but it wasn’t always like that. For many years, Iveta Nývltová was not only in the role of mother, but also in the role of her daughter’s manager. In an interview with eXtra.cz, the former participant of the X Factor talent competition revealed that she sometimes hit rock bottom.
Mom and manager
The star of Czech musicals Kamila Nývltová became famous years ago as one of the participants of the talent show X Factor, now she herself has turned into a strict judge of the 14th year of the children’s singing competition Česko zpívá. “The first selection round of the competition is currently underway. We had about 200 contestants apply and it’s quite challenging,” Kamila revealed to eXtra.cz that she cooperates not only with people from her native Krkonoše mountains, but also with her parents.
The judges of well-known talent competitions are usually strict and uncompromising. “I’m not that rough type and neither are others” said Nývltová with a smile. “We try to do it in a friendly way, because some of the kids here are younger, some of them are older, but we don’t want to spoil it somehow,” she added that, together with the other members of the jury, they try to motivate the little singers in a positive way.
The fact that Kamila collaborates on the project together with her mother, who is also part of the expert jury, is nothing special. Iveta Nývltová was Kamila’s manager for many years, which was not always easy for the singer. “It was difficult because it disrupted our mother-daughter relationship,” Kamila revealed. “So when I came home to the Krkonoše Mountains after a month, we didn’t discuss how I was doing or where we were going on a trip, but we mainly discussed business and work.” she explained, saying that they had argued many times.
They mocked me
“We also went through the fact that it was thrown at me many times, even unkindly, that my mother represents me and that I can’t do without her, as they say. I was sad because she stood behind me not only in the position of a mother, but also as a manager, so she always tried to negotiate the best for me” the singer described the difficult moments of family cooperation.
According to Kamila, however, during those years in the joint industry, they finally set boundaries. Their relationship only improved when the singer found a new manager in the form of her best friend Natalia. “Together, we’re a great team. Mom sometimes gives an opinion, but Natálka and I go our own way. So now it’s completely wonderful, but it was often not easy before.” confided Nývltová, who was worried that she was losing her beautiful relationship with her loving mother because of work.
Of course, Iveta also noticed that there was a nice spark between them at times. “We argue like any mother and daughter. But with us, it’s just more about the work side. When you make your daughter a manager, it’s just a rule of thumb. She’ll let you know what she wouldn’t tell anyone else. Even though I know that I have one hundred percent the truth and that what I tell her about her work is for her good, I usually meet with misunderstanding.It always costs me a lot of effort to defend all my comments. Sometimes I wonder if I even need this. And immediately I answer that I have. Because I love her, I care about what will happen to her talent, which she has from God, and how she will deal with it, as well as whether she is professionally and personally satisfied,” Kamila’s mother once said in an interview for iDnes.cz.
