Kamel Al-Wazir, Minister of Transport

Books – Muhammad Nassar:

Lieutenant General Engineer Kamel Al-Wazir, Minister of Transport, responded to what is being raised about the state’s priorities in obtaining loans, and the criticisms leveled in this regard.

And Kamel Al-Wazir said, in an interview with the journalist Ahmed Moussa: “If I take a loan, I will answer it with biscuits, bonbonnieres, pulp and chocolate, and I will not be blamed for eating cats and eating dogs.

The Minister of Transport added, “But if I take a very soft loan from a government, sometimes it reaches 0.01% interest, and a repayment period of up to 40 years, a very soft loan.”

The minister continued: “Governmental loans or from international banks, debt service or debt burdens are almost non-existent. The important thing is that I take the loan and put it in a productive, developmental project that develops and works in industry, agriculture and tourism. When I develop the industry, you will not get money.”
