Once again the KALYPSO festival is stopping in Bagneux with a program which will extend from November 12 to December 10: masterclass, cultural activities, 4 companies, an evening dedicated to documentary film and a Jam dedicated to groove to launch this edition anniversary of the festival which marks its 10th anniversary.
KALYPSO LES INDES GALANTES
Saturday November 18 – 7:30 p.m. – Louis-Aragon Media Library
This documentary directed by Philippe Béziat follows the readaptation of a classic opera by young dancers whom we follow from rehearsals to public performances. Can a new generation of artists take the Bastille today?
The session will be followed by a discussion.

KRUMP AND GESTURE: URBAN COUSINS
Monday December 18 – 8 p.m. – Victor-Hugo Theater
Come see the film “Rize,” by David LaChapelle, which tells the story of the birth of Krump, a revolutionary artistic expression. At the end of the screening, a meeting between Luis Torreão, director teaching body mime, and the krumpers Le Wa alias Warenne Adien, first generation Krump dancer and Damien, “Hypemare”, who knows Bagneux well, will allow us to discuss the commonalities and differences between their artistic practice.
