Kalvis Troska was recognized as the best joker of the year in Latvia

Kalnis Troska received the “Gräbeklis” comedy award from the association “Comedy Latvia“, who was recognized as the comedian of the year, informed the manager of “Comedy Latvia” Edgars Žukovskis.

On the other hand, the comedy event organized by Railf Eiland, Daigas Eiland and Aneta Bendikas in support of Ukraine “Russian warship, ej na***”, which took place on April 17 last year, was recognized as the comedy event of the year.

In the “no joke” category of the year, Alexander Guzenko won the laurels, who joked in the form of “Go3” about the superiority of the streaming platform “Netflix” over “Go3”.

He received “Gräbekli” for his lifetime contribution Jānis Jarāns And Dainis Porgantsas well as the “Imanta-Babīte does not stop” program.

The author of the idea for the name of the award is Dana Jurkjāne, co-founder of the association “Comedy Latvia”. She previously noted that the rake with a microphone attached to the end of the handle has been a long-standing symbol of the open mic events “Comedy Latvia”: any quibble of life can turn into an apt joke.

Last year, Troska received the ‘Grābeklis’ comedian award for the best joke of the year, while Jānis Kreičmanis was declared ‘Comedy Latvia’ comedian of the year.
