Kaltenkirchen – The reviews of HL-SPORTS in winter 2023/2024 are presented by Physio Power: Die Kaltenkirchener TS presented itself in the first half of the season Holstein State League as an outstanding top team, which continued compared to the previous season. Together with Eutin 08, KT has clearly established itself at the top of the field and there are signs that these two teams will play a dominant role in the race for the championship and promotion to the top league. Only Phönix Lübeck II could possibly expand the duel into a three-way duel. The team is currently in second place, five points behind the top.
Track record and offensive strength
The Kaltenkirchen team was extremely successful in the first half of the season. KT leads the league with 55 goals scored and only suffered two defeats in 18 games. With 20 points, they are the strongest team in away games. After nine games without defeat, Eutin 08 put an end to their run. Several big victories such as the 7:1 against TSV Heiligenstedten, the 5:0 against SSC Hagen Ahrensburg or the 5:1 against Ratzeburger SV underline the strong half series.
Positive conclusion, but room for improvement
Trainer Rene Sixt drew a positive conclusion: “We have definitely achieved our goals and are having a great season. Only two defeats in the second season after promotion – great.” Regarding the development of the team, he emphasized: “We still have to improve our ability to exploit goal opportunities and a certain level of cold-snout. Our physical condition is outstanding.”
When asked about outstanding players, Sixt said: “We have an excellent squad from which no one player should be singled out in particular. We immediately integrated our new additions very well.” This assessment illustrates the strength of the entire team and the seamless integration of the new players into the successful team structure of Kaltenkirchen TS.
