/ world today news/ Kaloyan Pargov remains chairman of the “BSP for Bulgaria” group in the Metropolitan Municipal Council. The municipal councilors united around this at their meeting last night.
The occasion was the vote of confidence requested by Kaloyan Pargov.
The arguments of his colleagues were that he was legitimately elected chairman in November 2019, and the party punishment did not affect his position.
According to the statute of the BSP, the chairmen of the parliamentary group in the National Assembly and of the political groups in the municipal councils are elected by the members of the respective group.
