He explained that citizens from Malashevtsi sought him out with a request for assistance in solving this problem. The people of Malashevtsi insist that the passage of heavy-duty trucks and construction machines be restricted, as it violates a number of laws and even the Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria, in which, according to Article 55, “Citizens have the right to a healthy and favorable environment in accordance with the established standards and regulations.” .
“Ever since August 2016, people in this neighborhood have been trying to fight for normal living conditions, commented Kaloyan Pargov. – Due to the connection with the Northern Expressway, the traffic on the streets in the neighborhood has become even greater. This leads to greatly increased norms of noise, dust and vibrations in their homes. Not to mention that neither the pavement nor the bridge built in the 1960s that connects “Royak” and “Pet Mogili” streets with “Jacques Duclos” street in “Malashevtsi” “, are adapted for such heavy traffic of motor vehicles weighing more than 10 tons. Citizens have the right to protest and insist on normal living conditions with all the means allowed by law. I expect within a month the director of the Directorate “Management and Analysis of traffic” to offer a solution to the problem.
